Last Wednesday morning I woke up sick with a cold. I went to bed knowing it was coming and praying I was wrong, I wasn’t. Last Wednesday morning was also the very first day of construction on the new house. Oh what a “hilarious” coincidence that was. Life has been a little chaotic lately, and that is putting it mildly. So if things around here have been a little more quiet than usual, it’s just us living in survival mode.
Ultimately the home build isn’t that much more on my plate. We are self-contracting all of the work since we learned what a waste of money paying a contractor was the last time. But Russ’ plate is suddenly overflowing and that means way more “single parenting” for me. Single parenting isn’t easy when you have your head in the clouds. I found myself saying sure to everything and dealing with the aftermath of what I agreed to, while doped up on cold meds, later.
But today’s post isn’t to complain. Things worked out the way they did and we just rolled with it. One week later and I am finally feeling on the mend and SO much has happened as far as the build goes. Let’s take a look at some pictures that I took yesterday (November 14, 2017) around 12:00.
