Hello Friday!

It is our first co-op free Friday in the Newman home and it almost feels like summer. The thing I love about home school is that we slowly start finishing curriculum over the last two weeks of our school year. This week we wrapped up writing, language arts, history, Bible, and chemistry/physics. All that we have left for next week is math, reading and spelling! It has been such a good school year for our family… I think. The jury is still technically out until our testing scores come back  πŸ˜† .

Let’s take a look at this weeks highlights.

Five Years Later…

We did it! We officially put our house on the market.

We put the sign in the yard before we went to bed and its first full day on the market was Wednesday April 26th. Exactly 5 year after the day that we moved in. We didn’t plan it to work out that way, but it did. I think it made the whole process that much more sentimental. I am hoping to share a few more posts in the coming weeks about our home.

I know the quality on that photo is terrible… but some things just need to be remembered. Better a bad picture than no picture!

Snap Circuit Love

On Monday I talked about a toy that my girls played with for hours on end and today I want to share a little more about it.

This snap circuit kit is the one we played with for 6+ hours on Saturday. My girls were hooked and totally obsessed over creating ALL the contraptions. I love that I was able to turn them loose and the directions were really simple. I also loved that they learned a lot just by playing and experimenting. We borrowed this kit from a friend but we would LOVE to pick one up for ourselves.

They would LOVE this light one. I bet it would be so much fun to play with.

And this arcade version would be a lot of fun too!

Have you ever played with snap circuits before?

Amazing FREE Printables!

Y’all while changing out family photos for printables I found the cutest website that has LOADS of free printables!

These are just a few of my favorites.
Be sure to check out what they have!

Rain, Rain

Anyone else’s forecast look like this? Anyone else over it?

I know, I know. April showers bring May flowers. But I feel like we may need to build a boat! The good news is I have had LOTS of opportunities to wear my super cute rain boots lately.

    Such cute printables!!
Hope y’all have a great weekend with lots of showings!!

    • I certainly hope it does.

Sadly I don’t think any showings will be happening. It is POURING so much I feel pretty certain nobody is leaving their homes, lol. Maybe next weekend.

  • Prayers for your home selling! How exciting, and I absolutely love that picture! I would rather see unedited pictures of real life, than edited. And that is so exciting about your school year wrapping up. My kids would LOVE those games/activities. I am going to have to look into those for this summer. And UGGGHHHH to the rain…we have had rain or snow every week since October. It even rained yesterday when they said 100% chance of NO rain. Welcome to the PNW. Have a great weekend Beth!

    • Those snap circuits are the coolest. With your kiddos being the same age as mine I bet they would LOVE it. I feel like we are living in the PNW, lol. I cant believe how much it has rained. We were SUPER behind in our precipitation levels for the year but for some reason I feel like that has probably changed by now.

  • Oh friend! We got a little taste of summer yesterday and now I am aching for it to be here already!! I hope you enjoy your summer-like Friday something fierce. I can’t imagine how bittersweet it is to put your home on the market. I know you will miss it, but you have so many great adventures to look forward to. I was so curious about that toy. Thanks for sharing. I know Mason would love that thing! Oh how I love free printables. Thank you for sharing. Happy Friday sweet friend. Hope your weekend is amazing, despite all of the rain.

    • I just KNOW Mason would love the snap circuit kits. It has definitely been a bitter sweet thing for sure. I have a post that I am sharing next week with some more details about why it is so bittersweet for us. Hope you are staying dry. It is POURING here.

  • The weather this weekend definitely has me down. Yuck. Come back nice weather! Yay for your house being on the market! I’m off to check out the free printables! Happy Friday!

    • Come back nice weather for sure. Otherwise we might HAVE to get that boat. I can’t believe how much it has rained.

  • Whitney Jordan

Yay for getting your house ready to sell!! Keep us posted. You’ll have to go for walks, bike rides, work out and get donuts when you have to be out of the house. That free printable website is AMAZING!! Thank you for sharing πŸ™‚

    • Yes we will. Russ is doing the showings for now so the girls and I have split. I was optimistic we would have some showing today, but it is POURING so hard I don’t think anyone will be getting out and about :(. So glad you like the site. Definitely save it.

  • We’re expecting rain too. Waah. Zachary loves Snap Circuits. I gifted it to his friend last year who I think likes it too. Good luck with the house!!

    • Oh my goodness this rain has been TERRIBLE. It has POURED cats and dogs for 12 hours now. It HAS to stop soon.

  • Oh my, those free printables are SO CUTE! I could have saved SO much money when I decorated my office if I had known about this website! Wow!

And congrats again on putting your house on the market! I pray for a speedy and easy sell for you guys!

  • Jessica

Yay for the house being on the market! That’s so exciting!! Fingers crossed it sells quickly. πŸ™‚ I hear ya on the rain. We did luck out with a beautiful weekend, but the rain is back this week.

    • I really hope it does too. Maybe if it would stop raining and warm up we might be able to get some showings. It rained 8″ here on Saturday. Can you say major flooding?! I hope y’all avoid that.

  • You sure are hooking me up with the cutest free printables today! πŸ˜‰ Thanks for sharing the link to these too!! It poured allll weekend long here. I was so over it by Sunday – lol. Today the sun is shining and I appreciate it all the more after the gloomy weekend! I hope it’s shining brightly for you now too! πŸ™‚

    • So glad I can hook a friend up. I am so glad that you like them! So sorry you got so much rain too. It was so stinking depressing! We had a pretty amazing day here too, but more rain is coming :(.
