It’s reveal day!
About a month ago we announced the 2016 Holiday Ornament Exchange. When the signups closed and partners were announced, I was excited to find out that I was partnered with Whitney from Come Home For Comfort. Whitney and I have ran in similar “blogger circles” for a while now and I was familiar with her blog, but there was a lot about Whitney that I didn’t know. This was a great way to get to know her a little better.
We exchanged a few emails back and forth and we both felt ready to shop. The girls and I had fun looking for ornaments for her. We may have gone to 6 or 7 stores that day trying to find the perfect ones to send. I picked out one and they insisted on picking out the other. But if you want to see what we sent her, you’ll have to check out her blog to find out!
My package arrived the Saturday after Thanksgiving. What perfect timing for a little dose of Christmas cheer. I was already working on photographing another blog post. Since I was already set up to take photos, I tore into my package right away. I wanted to open it up before the girls discovered what I was doing and jumped into to help :P. How is that for honesty?!
Inside I found some festive paper and two ornaments. I immediately smiled since I had sent her two ornaments too. I only wished I was so clever to think of putting them in cute little treat bags like she did.
The ornaments that she sent are perfect for me.
I had told her that I loved old cars and Santa and she sent me both. You just can’t beat a classic Santa and this one is perfect. I didn’t have anything like him on my tree either. As for the car, I love that it is so cute and pink. It is perfect for a house with 3 girls, girls who love cars at that. We didn’t even have a car ornament on our tree and when I showed it to Russ he smiled. He doesn’t make much fuss over Christmasy things so that was a pretty big mark of approval coming from him.
Thank you so much Whitney for the ornaments you sent and for being so thoughtful! We love them and will continue to love them for many Christmas’ to come.
