Fall Bucket List 2016!

With the first official day of fall arriving tomorrow I thought it was the perfect time to share our fall bucket list.

Disclaimer: the odds of me being one of the last to post my list is probably pretty high, especially since I waited until right before fall officially starts. BUT, I would like you to know that I made this list and scheduled this post on August 12th! I just had to put that in here so my being “late” to the bucket list party wasn’t confused with me not being excited. I love fall every bit as much as any other boot & scarf wearing, pumpkin spice eating, giddy that it’s fall, basic white girl. It’s a stereotype that I will always proudly embrace.

Here is what I have planned for our fall.

*Have a bonfire
*Have a chili night
*Go geo-caching
*Play in the leaves
*Make apple dumplings
*Date night
*Make sweet potato pie
*Visit a pumpkin patch
*Day trip
*Carve pumpkins
*Go for a nature walk
*Bob for apples
*Navigate a corn maze
*Have a pumpkin spice latte
*Halloween movie night
*Make a fall craft
*Drink apple cider
*Go trick-or-treating
*Go on a hay-ride
*Make a thankful tree
*Attend a fall festival
*Make s’mores
*Try a new pumpkin recipe

We plan to spend from now until Thanksgiving working hard on our list, crossing off as many things as we can, and making as many memories as possible.

Your disclaimer is hilarious. I’m right along with you. My summer bucket list update is on the blog today & then tomorrow is the Fall one. I think I’ll be the last one to the party. πŸ˜‰ haha!

    • Tehe he! I couldn’t help myself. Can’t wait to see what y’all have planned for fall.

  • Jessica

I loved your disclaimer. I just shared my summer list recap this week and my fall list goes up on Friday, so you aren’t last. πŸ™‚ Love your list.

    • Wahoo! When I scheduled this post I was SO sure I would be. Thank you. Can’t wait to see what is on yours.

  • Meghan Flinn

Haha, you really are “basic” lol… Aren’t we all?!? I love your list and excited to see what you get done!!!

    • I think it may be a prerequisite for being a blogger? I am excited too. I think with 2 months and nothing crazy on here we could totally cross everything off again.

  • Lizzie Simantz

I love reading everyones bucket list! I’ve never had apple dumplings before, I may have to look those up!!

    • I know, right?! I always read the list others make and want to change mine :P. I haven’t made them before either so that may be interesting.

  • I don’t like Pumpkin Spice Lattes…I like salted caramel but because of my diet I haven’t had one yet! Anyway, great, list.

    • I like salted caramel more than pumpkin spice too but I have told myself I need to have at least one :P.

  • You are not the last. Mine is going up tomorrow… you know… on the first day of Fall. I have 16 items listed and I thought that was a lot but girlfriend, your lists always amaze me.

    • I can’t help it I’m crazy. I just kept adding and adding and before I knew it…oooopppsss! Can’t wait to see yours.

  • Oy, that’s a lot of fun things! Can’t wait to see what you do.

  • You aren’t the last…yet! Haha I’m sharing ours tomorrow. You have lots of great things on your list!!
    Have a great day!!

    • Can’t wait to see what is on your list! You too lady, hope it’s been a good one.

Nope, you’re not the last. My fall bucketlist post is going live tomorrow. And like you, I drafted it weeks ago. We were still too busy living out summer so I decided to post it on the first day of fall. Can’t wait to follow along as you guys journey through fall.

    • I am so pleasantly surprised to not be the last. I was SO sure when I scheduled this forever ago I would be. It seems like everyone shared their summer lists so early I was positive fall would be the same. Can’t wait to see your list and several others tomorrow.

  • Boom and there you go. Fall is here. I am hoping that we finally stop hitting the 100 degree mark down here so that it starts to feel a little more like Fall πŸ™‚

    • Baha ha! I wish it was that simple. 100 degree mark sounds TERRIBLE. I feel bad for complaining about my 80 somethings now.

  • Aaaah we both posted our fall bucket lists on the same day! Great minds! ;o) And I’m right there with ya, fellow basic white girl! I will gladly embrace that title!

I love all of your ideas… I would love to take the kids geo caching… I think Jacob would love it!

    • Hehe I smiled when I saw that too. I love that we can be #basic together.

I guarantee that he would. Both my girls love it. They call it treasure hunting!

  • Just one pumpkin spice latte?? I read Bob and didn’t see it went downwards…I was like Bob?? I’m so excited for fall!! Love your list.

    • There are so many other drinks I love and I honestly don’t go to Starbucks that often. One is plenty for me! Baha ha! I keep doing the same thing too. I don’t really like it, but it fit. Thank you!

  • What a fun bucket list, between you and Lindsay today, I feel like I need one too πŸ™‚

    • You totally need one. Fall starts tomorrow, get on it :P.

  • I love this list. I just love fall and I feel like it can get cut so short with people focusing on Christmas!

    • I am oh so guilty of that. After Halloween I STRUGGLE to maintain self control. So I made our list extra long, Added some Thanksgiving stuff to it and gave us until Thanksgiving to finish it up. I hope that does the trick.

  • There was never any doubt in my mind that you were NOT excited for sharing your fall list- and what a fun one!!! I realized I left off some things we do every year but figured Id give myself some grace because chances are I wont forget to do them anyway πŸ˜‰

    • Thank you so much friend. Anyone who knows me well wouldn’t doubt it. I was positive I would be last for fall because SO many people shared their summer lists WAY before summer technically started. Glad I was wrong. Haha, yes. We have a few of those too.

      • I agree, summer got all screwy lol. But with a day to spare we’re good on fall now!

  • You are even making ME excited about fall– and that’s saying a lot!!

    • Haha! Wahoo! I can totally see how you would be sad to see summer go. I miss it a little bit too. If it wasn’t a sign of Christmas coming I wouldn’t be so fall crazy.

  • I’m excited to hear more about this sweet potato pie! Do you already have a recipe in mind? I love sweet potatoes but have never tried this before!

    • NOPE! That is kind of what I love about it. I have never made apple dumpling or sweet potato pie and I don’t have recipes for either! Pinterest here I come.

  • Great list! It almost makes me super excited about Fall (long live Summer!). Thank you for sharing!

    • If it wasn’t a sign that Christmas is around the corner, I wouldn’t be nearly as excited about fall. So I get the long live summer comment.

  • Whitney Jordan

So much fun is in store for your family!! I am excited to see if Minnie Mouse makes an appearance at your house for Halloween this year πŸ™‚ Can’t wait to hear all about the fun you’re having and now I’m starving for s’mores, pumpkin treats and apples.

    • I am pretty excited about that too. I guess I should start thinking through costumes with my girls huh?!

  • Desiree @ Macke Monologues

Your Thankful Tree is one of my favorites!!
Apple dumplings sound so good – I’m not sure I’ve ever had them!

    • I think i have had them once but I have never made them. I’m always up for a new adventure!
