Number Games With Tenzi

Earlier in the year I started collaborating with Timberdoodle. Timberdoodle offers everything from books & home school curriculum to toys & games that are fun to play with and educational too. AKA this home school mom’s dream. We want to say a huge thanks to Timberdoodle for sponsoring today’s post and as always, all opinions are my own.

Learning fun with Tenzi a number / strategy game for kids... and adults.
Recently we were given the chance to try out Tenzi. Tenzi is a unique and fun number / strategy game that quickly became a family favorite. This fast paced game is the perfect way to work on learning numbers with the littlest learners or start drilling quick addition math skills with older learners.

Talking about #TENZI our new favorite #DiceGame to learn with. #homeschool #blogger #game Click To Tweet

We also received the 77 Ways To Play TENZI a card deck that takes this game to the next hilarious level, offering even more variety with your TENZI dice. I love that there is so much variety with this game from the way we play to the way we score. Every time we play it it’s like a whole new game. That makes Tenzi exciting for everyone.

Marissa becomes so intently focused while playing this game.
I love how it is challenging her to make quick, logical decisions.

Emily has a whole new laid back approach. She loves rolling the dice and trying to get all the dice, yes ALL 40, on the same number. This always keeps her occupied for a while so I call it a win.

With 77 Ways To Play TENZI you can learn games like PYRAMIDZI, FARMZI, PAIRSZI and GUESSZI. Because who doesn’t want to play a fast paced dice game while making farm animal noises? Moo’ing makes everything more funny. I am pretty sure that might be a fact.

And what might possible be my favorite part about this game is that the whole family loves it. FINALLY a game that Russ and I don’t internally grumble when the girls ask to play. In fact we may or may not be guilty of playing it without the kids. You know you have found a winner when that happens friends.

But don’t just take my word for it, pick up TENZI and find out for yourself.

I’ve never heard of Tenzi but it sounds really fun. I love games that are not only fun but is learning at the same time. We will need this game in the future.

  • Wow! This looks amazing. Learning and fun combined is a win-win in my book!

  • Never heard of it, but I dig all the pretty dice! Chris and I like to play 10,000 (which is almost like farkle I think it’s called), although we usually only find time on New Years Eve – our tradition game night.

    • I have never playes farkle. I really should try it sometime.

      • You have 6 dice. Look up the rules online and play with Your Tenzi dice. I used to carry 6 dice in my purse to play.

  • I’ve never heard of this game, but i”m pretty sure if there are animal noises involved my kids will be playing all the time! 🙂 Off to add it to my wish list on Amazon…assuming it’s sold there…

    • Okay so do I buy the dice and the cards separately right? That’s what I just added to my cart.

      • The dice and cards are purchased separately. It is a really fun game. I can totally see us loving it for years.

        • I put it in Mr.’s Amazon cart and he was like what is this? I said it’s a game I wanted to buy the kids…he gave me the side eye and put it in the buy later option, LOL. I’ll have to work on him.

  • I’ve never heard of this. Right now Wesley would probably throw the dice up like confetti, but I could see it being a fun game for us down the road!

  • Desiree @ Macke Monologues

This is a new one! Marcus loves rolling dice for no particular reason. I’m sure this would become a favorite, but if we could incorporate a little learning with the dice rolling, bonus!!

    • Exactly! Emily loves it too, especially these colored dice!

  • My son would love this game! I’m always looking for fun activities to do with him while little sister naps. I’m definitely going to check this out.

    • Definitely do! It is such a fun family game.

  • I’ve never heard of this game before but it sounds like a fun one! Seems a little above Mason’s level right now but something to remember for the future!
