Christmas Bucket List 2017

For the past 3 years I have shared Christmas Bucket lists on the blog and I was SO close to not posting this years list. Why?! Honestly, I don’t know. I think part of it was I felt like I waited too long. Another reason was that I am blogging a lot less than I was even a year ago. Regardless of the reasons I almost didn’t share the list, I am so glad I snapped out of it.

Things may be a bit chaotic and different this year, but it is still Christmas time. I still want to celebrate as much as we can with all of our favorite seasonal activities. This years list has 20 activities and I think I could already cross about 5 of them off! That leaves plenty of time and plenty of fun to be had!

*Hot cocoa by the fire
*Journey to Bethlehem
*Watch Polar Express
*Christmas date night
*Mail Christmas cards
*Bake Christmas cookies
*Donate food items
*See Santa Claus
*Christmas light awards
*Make an ornament
*Celebrate advent
*Attend a Christmas party
*Read the Christmas story
*Watch White Christmas
*Christmas Photo Challenge
*Make a gingerbread house
*Red Cups & Shopping
*Homemade cinnamon rolls
*Watch Elf
*Make snowflakes

Our list is a mix of family traditions, favorites from previous years, and a few new things too. I’m excited to see how much we actually get done with so much going on in our life right now.

Did you make a Christmas bucket list?

  1. We’ve made a mini list. Sometimes things can just get crazy this time of year, but a few movies, a few treat making sessions, and driving to see Christmas lights are on our small list!

    1. A mini list! I LOVE that idea. In some ways I kind of did that too. I took off some huge things and added in some smaller ones that we would’ve done anyways :P.

  2. So fun! I love the red cup and shopping…I love them all and I hope you get to do them all too!

    1. That was one of the first one we crossed off our list. I may have made my own red cup ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ to take shopping with me tonight. Ssshhhhh!!!!!

  3. Yay for sharing your fun list! I’d like to do everything on your list. Red cup shopping and homemade cinnamon rolls are calling my name for this weekend

    1. That is SO crazy to think of it like that. This is our…. 5th, and last, Christmas here… or is it 6. I can’t even keep track. It should be good… as long as I stay well :P.

  4. Due to my addled baby brain Ive caused us to miss out on a few of our usual Christmas festivities and I feel so bad! Hoping to atone for my slip this weekend, wish me luck.

    1. Oh friend, no worries at all. It happens to each of us. Our lists grow and change and adapt through the years and that is okay. Wishing you lots of luck.

  5. Well, friend, I think I have completed some of your list considering the movies have been watched and I mailed the cards. We are in the midst of Advent and knocking out that devotional. So what is red cup and shopping? I don’t get it!

    1. Sweet! Just let me know which ones and I’ll mark them off, lololol! Oh goodness this week has been a whirlwind.

It’s shopping with a Starbucks cup, of course. Hehe he! It’s kind of misleading though because the seasonal cups aren’t always red :P.

  6. So, yeah… I still haven’t made my bucket list. I have it in my head, but need to get it down on paper (well on a graphic). I’ve already got a lot of my bucket list done, but some I still need to do. On my list is watch Elf too, which I already have. Along with It’s a Wonderful Life. Matt and I do need to watch Die Hard.

    1. I was the same exact way and then I just busted it out I bet you get yours done soon! I LOVE that you are fellow Die Hard lovers. I REALLY need to pick a copy of it up. It is SO cheap on Amazon and it should be a part of our Christmas collection.

  7. I love your list and canโ€™t wait to follow along as you guys adventure through the Christmas season!! So, we are trying to decide on where to go for a few days after Christmas. I am trying to convince Nate that we need to visit Branson! And Silver Dollar City and all of the other things there. I guess I need to look at calendars and make sure they still do all of the Christmas-y stuff after Christmas. Most places go until January, so I just assume they do. But anyhow, if we do make it that way I will be sure to let you know. Youโ€™re not super far from Branson, right?

    1. They do! They keep the Christmas stuff going all the way through the new year. Branson is a BLAST at Christmas. The lights at SDC oh man you could take so many photos. We actually have season passes and NEVER went this year. Maybe if you head this way we would change that. It’s about 2 hours away from us. It’s quite a bit south east. Keep me posted for sure!!!

  8. I love your list!!! We have plans to make our gingerbread house this weekend, it’s something I have a love/hate relationship with haha

    1. We totally cheated on that this year! Last weekend Home Depot was hosting a kids workshop… where they made wooden gingerbread houses. I totally checked it off of our list. I love that they are keepsakes too. The girls can display them at Christmas for years to come!
