My Monthly Goals, September 2017

Let’s take a look at what I completed…

* Figure out a new blog routine by the end of the month.
* Plan out posts through September.
* Participate in a giveaway.
* Wrap up working on our summer bucket list.
* Average 4 workouts a week or 16 for the month.
* Complete weekly long runs. (This months long runs will all be 6+ miles!)
* Find a healthy breakfast routine for weekdays.
* Get everything ready for school.
* Start back with half days on August 7th.
* Start full days on August 14th.
* Show extra grace to everyone, including myself, while finding a new routine.
* Get our building permits and the electric lines scheduled.
* Celebrate ‘Back To School Eve’!
* Celebrate 10 Years of marriage!
* Read 2 books.
* Start sorting items for consignment sale.

And what I didn’t …

* Continue working on my Bible study.

A few thoughts I have about last months goals.

If I am going to fail one, I hate that it was that one.
I think I need to set some tougher goals. I am crossing too many off.
Thank God I didn’t say finish our summer bucket list.

Plans for September…

September feels like a weird month for me. We were supposed to begin building and move out of “our house” this month, but construction is so unpredictable. We ended up being caught in another month of limbo instead. This month is also the month that all of our “extra” activities begin and our new church starts up. So we are changing schedules, changing churches, and hoping and praying that our build starts in just a few weeks. Goals this month could go really well, or really not.

* Join Stephanie for Dresstember and photograph 10 dresses.

* Plan and announce a mini fall photo challenge.
* Participate in a mug swap & giveaway.

* Create a fall fun list and start working on it together.
*Have a movie or a game night, twice.

* Workout 14 times.
* Complete weekly long runs. (This months long runs will all be 9+ miles!)
* Complete ‘The Big Red Shoe 15K’.
* Begin official marathon training.

* Start attending Rooted Church on their first Sunday, September 10th.
* Work on making some connections in the new church.

Home School-
* Finalize lessons before my co-op class starts.
* Get out of the house with our work 4 times.

* Be patient while waiting on the build to FINALLY get started 😉 .
* Take stock of the girls closets, what they have and what they need.
* Buy all of the pumpkin things. #butreally #reallifegoals
* Read 1 book.
* Participate in the fall consignment sale.

  1. You rocked August. Great job.
    September looks like lots of fun! So proud of you with your running!

  2. My goals were on my Friday post because I just had to make it extremely long and boring….LOL! Again you did well you darn over achiever! Are you living with family now or rather when is your closing date on your house? I read your blog regularly but maybe I missed something – it happens a lot with me LOL!

    1. Lololol! Well this month with the holiday made it really hard to put up a goal post. So I felt a little late to the party but it’s okay. I usually do these posts on the 28th of the month or so anyways.

      So, we closed on our house on June somethingth (totally a word). We are just renting it from the current owners. Current plan is to pay cash to have the building put up and then go about finishing the insides ourselves. Heaven help us. I am the same exact way too btw. It is so easy to miss things. We’ll be moving in with Russ’ parents between November and January. My life is a so up in the air right now.

  3. Wow I know you didn’t do all of August, but you still rocked it!! Bring on September, we need to make our fall fun list too!

  4. I’m looking at your August goals and I was totally impressed with how much you accomplished! I don’t feel like I can accomplish anything over the Summer with all four kids running circles around me. I love all your goals for September. I have no doubt you will accomplish them! XOXO

    1. Thank you so much friend. If I didn’t take the time to map it all out, and write it down, I would be the same way. I cant even imagine throwing to more bodies into the mix too.

  5. Since I don’t remember what I wrote yesterday, wink, wink; GREAT GOALS! Bring on the Fall Family Fun!!

  6. I signed up for the mug swap…I think I need to add a goal that I will find a way to display mugs in my kitchen! I need to make a fall family fun list too. You did great on your goals last month!

  7. Buy all the pumpkin things! YES! Haha, I’m too excited about fall coming up. What marathon will you be training for? I’m about halfway through training for my half right now!

    1. That is AWESOME! I am doing the Route 66 Tulsa, OK marathon. It will be my first (and only) full. I have always wanted to check that item off my bucket list.

    1. So we shall wonder in lalaland together then. I am told Mid’ish October for us. In the mean time we are looking to buy a tractor to start getting some junk cleaned up.

  8. I’m still working on trying to find a blog routine. But, had I found one, it would have all changed once Annabelle started school, so I guess it’s good I didn’t. I would have no patience waiting for a build to start. None. Good luck with that friend!

    1. I dont really have a huge routine over when I do my blogging, I just have more of a routine of only blogging 3 days a week now. BEST decision ever. The less I blog, the more peace I feel.

  9. Girl you are so awesome at kicking your goal’s butt. It’s so impressive. I love the goals you set each month and that you stick to them. Rockstar!

  10. Good luck with your new church!! Hope you make some wonderful new friends. I need to check out my kid’s closets ASAP and make some lists of things to pick up for Fall.

  11. You are a rockstar when it comes to completing goals. You inspire me so much, friend. It’s so hard to fall out of a routine of reading your bible or completing a bible study. I know first-hand from experience. I will be praying for you friend and that God gives you a hunger for His word. And that He gives you that free time to be able to sit and soak in His word. I can’t wait for that fall photo challenge. You know I am eager and impatiently waiting! haha. I hope the transition to the new church is a smooth and easy one! I know God will have his hand over it. I love the name “Rooted Church”.

    1. It has been SO good so far. Thank you for the prayers, I NEED that. What is the name of the bible reading app thing you have been using again. I keep meaning to ask you, but I keep forgetting.

      1. I use a few –

        1.) The Bible app – I love to read and share the verse of the day and they have plans on there as well.

        2.) She Reads Truth

        3.) First Five
