This week FLEW by friends. With only about 6 weeks left until we start school, (Oh. My. Goodness) I feel summer break slipping through my fingers and I don’t like it one little bit. But the only thing left to do, is to live it up all the more. We have to take advantage of every moment that we can. And that is exactly what we intend to do.
Let’s take a look at this weeks Friday 5
My friend Amanda over at Cardio Cab and a Keyboard started a really fun link-up yesterday and I wanted to join in. Be sure to check it out and save her graphic so you can play along in the coming months.
Spiral Tie Dye
(The girls and I have been wanting to give tie dye a try)
(Genius idea really)
Homemade Frosted Coffee
(Do I really need to explain 😆 )
(Emily has been saying she is bored a lot lately so this has already been on my radar)
(How stinking cute are these? The girls would love this project)
What Summer DIY pins can you find?!
Lately I’ve really been in a photo rut. I am picking up my DSLR less and less and my postings on IG have been far from consistent. I am not sure if it is summer or what, but I am feeling like I am in a serious creative rut.
If you happen to be feeling less than inspired too, come back Monday for a fun mini summer photo challenge. I think it is just what I need to get me going again.
Letter Board Love
I have been wanting a letter board for months now, literally months. But I just couldn’t get myself to spend the money on one. I decided I would make one, as an attempt to be frugal, but the good letters I was finding would cost $20-30 alone. That didn’t feel very frugal. So, I put it off… until this week.
Thanks to Becky @ bybmg I found this letter-board for 9.97 at Wal-Mart! I kinda wish the frame on it was black, but that is nothing that my expert spray painter aka Russ can’t fix. I am SO happy to have a letter-board, finally. And I’m so excited that I waited and snagged this one for less than $10
Photos with Dad
The girls snapped a few photos with Russ on Fathers day and I just had to share them.
Funny story, we took a few photos and when we came in I looked a them and giggled. Russ asked why and I told them he looked angry in them. He said it’s my beard, I can never tell if I am smiling too much or not enough (Uh huh, sure mister 😆 😉 .) He then insisted we retake them so he could look happier in the pictures. So we did, of course. There is never a dull moment around here.
Much better, don’t you think?
