TGIF friends we are so ready for another weekend! It has been a crazy week of house decisions, road decisions, and looking at floor plans until I am already feeling over it, yet we have just begun. I guess the shock of it all is that it felt like we waited, doing nothing, for months and we are finally at a stage that actually requires us to decide things (big things). So exciting, so overwhelming.
This week I am sharing another edition of my monthly ‘Little Letters’ where I write notes to divulge all the randomness that is currently going on inside my head.
Dear Spring Break,
My excitement for you is almost embarrassing. I have lazy days of too much coffee, outdoor adventures, and limited screen time for all in my head. This will be the very first year we have taken a spring break and I have a feeling it won’t be the last.
Dear Gilmore Girls,
I always knew I would love you, I just didn’t know how much. I am so thankful to finally be one of the cool kids. However I find myself constantly torn Jess or Dean, Dean or Jess. Will Lorelai and Luke ever get together? I want to binge on you all the time, but I can’t. I guess that is the bad part about watching a show that has 7+ seasons. It just takes time.
Dear Stranger at the Grocery Store,
Yes, I randomly like to sing along with the stereo when I shop. Partly to embarass my kids, partly because I have no shame. There is no need to stare.
Dear New Running Shoes,
Thank you for making me feel like I can run faster simply by being bright and pretty.
What is that makes your mac & cheese so much better than any other box brand. I am all about saving money and buying generics or store brands whenever I can but when it comes to macaroni and cheese… I simply can’t. Nothing else tastes half as good as your product. Well played Kraft, well-played.
Dear Dude at the Gym,
I’m really glad you didn’t crush yourself when you lost steam in the middle of that declined bench press the other day. I’m also sorry that I couldn’t help you get that much weight off yourself and had to find help. The next time you decide to try your luck at 385 lbs, find someone to spot you.
Thank you SO much for sending me my $1.32 reward check. I promise not to spend it all in one place.
Dear Texas Sheet Cake
When I saw that the recipe called for 4, yes 4, sticks of butter, I should have walked away. But I didn’t and now I am completely hooked. If I pass out while trying to squeeze into my shorts I blame you… and the donuts.
Welcome back! Weekends spent following the race make my heart so happy we really missed you in the off-season.
Have a great weekend friends!
We’ll see you back here on Monday.
Linking up with Taz and Belly for Little Letters.
