Yesterday marked 3 years of blogging for this girl and I celebrated with my traditional blogiversary cupcake. I am supposed to be “being good” nutrition wise and honestly I think I have been (comparatively speaking 😉 ). But who am I to argue with tradition?!
In three years of blogging I feel like I have expressed myself better than I did in the previous 30 years of my life. I’ve grown in leaps and bounds and know more than ever who I am… I’m also more okay than ever with people not loving that person. You can’t win them all, right?
I have become a bit of a techy, worked on my grammar skills (still a work in progress), developed photography skills, and made some of the best friends a gal could ever wish to have.
Three years = 824 blog posts
I was 30, Russ was 34, Emily had just turned 3, Marissa was 5, and Russ and I had only been married for 6 years.
I am sitting here at my desk feeling unsure of how I really feel about looking back at those numbers. I guess I feel like I just started this space of mine the other day and that it has been around forever simultaneously. But you know what? I think most of lifes good things are exactly like that. The lines just blur and you really aren’t sure where the beginning or the end is. You’re too busy just enjoying the ride.
When I think about 2017 and what things are going to look like moving from year 3 to year 4 there are a whole lot of question marks for me. Will my posting schedule change? Will I take a sabbatical? Are there ways to cut back or simplify? Honestly, I don’t know. But regardless of what the next 12 months look like, I feel pretty confident that I’ll make it to year 4.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
To those of you who have supported me in countless ways over the past 3 years.
Now for the fun part. Over the past 3 years I feel like I have just about done it all: home school, recipes, DIY, fashion, photography, budgeting, Christianity, and just plain ol’ life posts.
Which are your favorites to read?
What would you like to see, or see more of in the coming 12 months?
