Hello Friday!

I’m not going to lie, this week was rough. Like ROUGH. I was grumpy, moody, impatient, and I felt invisible. I’m honestly not sure which came first, but I do know that I did not like it. However, I also know that weeks like these happen to all of us. Life is not always rainbows and unicorns and that is okay.

Let’s take a look at this weeks Friday favorites!

Abi Mae

It’s been a couple of weeks since I have given an update on this sweet baby girl. Abi is 6 weeks old today and still hanging out in the NICU… but hopefully not for long. She is now being fed 21ml an hour through her feeding tube and has begun being fed with bottles too. She is doing GREAT and will hopefully be packing her bags and heading home. Please continue praying that she keeps on thriving. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and we are all rejoicing.

Little Sleepy Head

I was given these products in exchange for my honest review, all opinions are my own.

Recently I was given the chance to try out some products from Little Sleepy Head. They are a small, family-owned children’s company who has a wide range of products including bath products, pillows, pillow cases, and swaddles.

They sent us a youth pillow and a tiaras pillow case. It is so comfy, soft, and pretty to look at. It is the perfect size for sleeping and travelling with.

Emily quickly claimed it to be hers and has slept with it every night since.

They were also sweet enough to send me a few things  for my favorite baby girl, Abi Mae. I can’t wait to give her mama these gifts when they get home. Photos of a sweet baby girl in those precious swaddles will be happening. I should also mention that baby wash… I kind of wish I could keep it for myself because it smells AMAZING!!! There are so many great present ideas over at Little Sleepy Head. So whether your shopping for someone else, maybe a baby shower gift, or looking for something for your own kids, check them out!

Sandals for Summer

I am crushing so hard on these sandals. Ever since I hit my 30’s I had to accept the realization that $2 flip-flops jut aren’t cutting it anymore. They were actually making my feet ache. Last summer I bought a pair of Chacos that I love, but I really want something lighter that I can slip on easily.

What’s your go to sandal?

This Is Us Finale

Was anyone else surprised by the lack of waterworks that happened on Tuesday?

And then this happened.

I mean I wasn’t using #allthetissues, like I have in the past, but I definitely thought this was a great way to end the season.

Have a great weekend friends!
We’ll see you back here on Monday!

  1. YAY! That beautiful baby is going to be headed home in no time! I feel it and will continue praying for her! Girl, I have been a terrible blog friend this week and have not been able to just sit and read posts. I hope to catch up on your’s asap. And the opening to this post – yes, yes, yes. For me it has been because I’m a female and well you can catch on!!! XOXOXOXO

  2. Hahaha I was not crying at all during This is Us until that moment!! I love Jack! I couldn’t believe she let him leave. What a sweet picture of Abi Mae!! I hope she is home soon!

  3. Oh sweet Abi Mae! love her face expression!
I’m going to watch ‘This is Us’ right now!

  4. Girl, I can absolutely relate. There were a couple days this week when I was just in such a slump. Wish I could hop through the screen and give ya a big hug …and a donut! lol. So happy to hear that Abi Mae is doing well! I’ve continued to pray for her and have meant to ask ya how she was doing, so I was glad to see this update! <3 YES! I was shocked at the lack of tears during This is Us! I expected to go through an entire box of kleenex during the finale – lol! The main sadness was just that we have to wait a long time for more episodes now – ha! Wishing you and your cute family a wonderful weekend ahead! *Lotsa love and a big hug attached here!*

    1. Hugs and a donut, lol you know the key to my heart friend. Sorry to hear you have been in a slump too. Praying we get out of it soon.

Abi is doing so well. It looks like she should be coming home in just a few days!

  5. I’m sorry your week was rough. I hope things turn around for you this weekend. 🙂 And yes, we “old ladies” have to take care of our feet. Oh adulthood.

  6. Sorry you had a rough week! I hope your weekend is full of fun!
I love Sanuk yoga mat sandals. They are the most comfortable ever! You should try them, you will love them!
Hope sweet Abi is home soon!

    1. I was looking at some of those! They look dreamy but every pair I loved they didn’t have in my size on Amazon, such a bummer. She should be home by the end of the week!!!!

  7. I have those sandals! The exact ones! They are awesome though, I get a new pair every summer. Sorry to hear you had a bad week. I hope next week is better. That pillowcase is super cute!

  8. Sorry about the rough week, hopefully the weekend rejuvinates and helps you for a fresh week next week. Those pillow cases looks super comfy. I was really disappointed about the ending of This is Us…don’t string us along like that, they did that on purpose, however at the end with the little speech and then that wink…swoon. And this is the ONLY episode I didn’t cry or even get teary eyed…haha.

  9. I am so so picky about my sandals. I wish I could wear the inexpensive Old Navy ones but that’s not the case. I need a little more support.

And well… TIU slayed me a bit at the end. But I didn’t cry so there’s that.

    1. Oh man me too! I cant believe I wore those for YEARS.

I didn’t sob like I expected, just got a little watery eyed. I am SO glad I watched that show.

  10. I’m right there with you on the not-so-awesome weeks. This week was better than last, but sometimes it’s just rough. Hope your weekend is bright and cheerful and that next week is much more pleasant for you! <3

Love the update on your sweet little Abi Mae! It's great that she's taking from a bottle!

  11. I’m so sorry you’ve needs feeling down. Sending you positive thoughts. I want a few pairs of new sandals for summer too. I need to catch up on this is is. Goodness I’m behind.

  12. I want those sandals! Get them and let’s be twinners. I hope this next week is better. I just sent some good thoughts and vibes your way. I wish it was a doughnut, but the internet has it’s limits 🙂

  13. I’ve definitely been there and have had those kinds of weeks myself! I hope that this week is much better for you, friend! Oh Abi Mae…you are stealing my heart girlfriend! How precious! Praying for that sweet girl and her family. God is so good and will send her home in his perfect timing! Those swaddles look adorable and amazing. Abi will love them! I haven’t watched the This Is Us finale yet and I can’t wait to do so.

    1. Guess what, I haven’t spread the word yet because it is very unofficial but that sweet girl MIGHT get to come home tomorrow!!!!!!!!!! It was just the best news ever. It could get pushed back a day or two but come weekend, she should be home.

  14. I’m sorry to hear you had a rough week! We’ve all been there and they are hard! Hope you are off to a better start this week! And the season finale of this is us is the first episode I didn’t cry at all! Crazy!

  15. Thanks for the Abi update!! Hope to hear that she gets to go home soon. I’ve also had to invest in nicer, more comfortable shoes as I’ve gotten older. I’ve always wanted a pair of Chacos! Maybe this summer will be the one to invest in a pair. Hopefully this week is going better for you 🙂

    1. I love my chacos but they can be a bit bulky and time consuming getting them on and getting the straps adjusted just the way I need them. I’m really hoping these ones I can just slide on and go a bit easier. A little of each would be great. Abi IS home. She came home last Wednesday and I have been too sick to even see the kid yet. Goodness, I have had a rough week.
