My Top 10 Posts of 2016

In 2016 I wrote 282 blog posts. The days, weeks and months really have a way of adding up. Today I want to share my top 10 posts from 2016. These are the posts that ranked the most page views, not my personal favorites. A few are surprising to me, a few not so much.

#1 Mason Jar Soap Dispenser
#2 How to Organize a Homework Command Center
#3 Brownie Bottom Pumpkin Dream Bars
#4 Routine Maintenance Made Easy

#5 How to Host an Ice Cream Party on a Budget
#6 Resurrection Rolls
#7 Tex-Mex Sloppy Joes
#8 Thank You God for This Day
#9 Simple Ways to Encourage Kids to Write
#10 How to host a North Pole Breakfast

All but one of them are highly pinnable posts, intended for getting traffic to the blog. Seeing the odd-ball, #8, on the list left me with a huge smile. It was a post I wrote early this year when I felt defeated and possibly at my lowest point in 2016. Knowing that post resonated with others, and being on the other side of that dark time, brings me so much joy. It encourages me to look beyond just recipes and how-to’s and continue spreading a message of hope and truth in 2017.

Do you have a favorite blog post you wrote or read in 2016?

  1. Wahoo for the successful posts and pins! That’s so awesome. I liked all of those posts a lot. I really need to add the DIY mason jar soap to my list and I’ve wanted to since I read that post originally. πŸ™‚

    1. Haha! I moved mine away when I got all the Christmas stuff out. I need to get it back out. Thanks for the reminder. Obviously the post making the list wasn’t enough πŸ˜›

  2. You definitely had some amazing posts! I especially loved your ice cream party (cause I just love ice cream) and seeing your homework center (cause I love office supplies)!

  4. Great list!! I always love your recipes, holiday posts and school ideas. Oh and your big girls always give me ideas for down the road with my kids. I’m excited to see what the new year has in store for your blog.
