I received this plant from ProFlowers to help inspire this post, all opinions are my own.
There are countless ways to say I love you this Valentine’s Day. From grand gestures to the littlest details, it is a day meant for celebrating love and showing others how much we care. Today I want to share with you one of my favorite ways to say I love you.
Ever since I was a little girl I have loved to make cards. Hand-made, one of a kind creations made special for one person. It was a chance to share my creative side, a chance to be personal, and a chance to express my love. As I grew older, the tradition stuck. For years now I have been giving hand drawn cards for birthdays, holidays, and especially Valentine’s Day.
Fawn Weaver said “a great marriage isn’t something that just happens; it’s something that must be created.” I believe that even the smallest acts, like making a card, help to strengthen the foundation of a strong marriage. I have been giving Russ homemade Valentines for years now and they always bring him so much joy.
This years Valentine is unlike any other I have made before. It even has a gift that accompanies it. My friends at ProFlowers were kind enough to send me flowers to inspire my creativity this year. When I saw their Pink and Gold Succulent Garden, I knew I had found the perfect plant to inspire me.
I have always been a fan of puns, but this one might just be my all time favorite. Naturally Russ has already seen the plant and I am sure he has his suspicions over what I am up to. But the card, that I have kept a secret. Let’s just hope he isn’t reading this ;-).
Puns, poems, stories, songs, and flowers. Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL flowers. You can find inspiration all around you. But if you are looking for the perfect gift, be sure to check out ProFlowers. They have an amazing selection of flowers, plants, love inspired decor, and even chocolate covered strawberries. Now we are speaking MY love language. You are sure to find exactly what you are looking for, the perfect source of inspiration for your homemade creation.
I found a box of 30 blank cards at one of my favorite stores for $3! That is 30 chances to make someones day brighter (or maybe 20 if you make as many uh-oh’s as I do). Grab your art supplies, your kids, or the family dog and begin making something straight from the heart.
Create something special this Valentines Day!
