I’ve said it before and I will likely say it again, in our house PBJ is always on standby. Especially when it comes to our oh so sweet and oh so pick Emily Elizabeth. It’s funny to me that some how we ended up with one kid who eats everything and another who lives on peanut butter and jelly. But even the pickiest of eaters like a bit of variety and often end up bored eating the same sandwich over and over again. Today I want to share how we have made meal time fun again with a Baby PBJ Bagel-wich.

  • Mmmm! My dad always insisted that our peanut butter be Jif brand. I can’t wait to give the natural version a try. We will often do PB&J or Cream Cheese & Jelly, but I never thought to put all of them together in one awesome sandwich. Thanks so much for sharing!

    • The crunchy natural is my favorite, so good. Definitely give it a try!

  • Jessica

We make them on crackers a bunch to shake things up. The kids always think it’s such a treat, which cracks me up. πŸ™‚

    • I saw someone else do that and thought it was brilliant. I need to try that with Emily sometime soon.

  • Yum! I never thought to add in the cream cheese.

  • Cream cheese!? Hmmmm, I feel like I’ve got to try that one day soon

  • Meghan Flinn

While I’ve heard of cream cheese and jelly sandwiches I’ve never heard of combining it with the peanut butter! Sounds cool! And I love mini bagels!

    • Aren’t they ao cute. They ate the perfect size too. We really like this combo, you’ll have to try it.

  • Lizzie Simantz

What a fun twist on pb&j!! I would love to eat this!

  • I love adding a bagel to a traditional PB&J. Later this month, I’m sharing a bagel pizza that Connor just loves! I’ve toasted a wheat bagel and added PB for Connor for a quick breakfast but you’ve given me another idea for lunch!

    • We do bagel english muffins. We’ll have to try bagel pizza too! I hope you love it!

  • Heather Bramlett

Yum!! I love PB&J’s but neither one of my children will eat them! HA

    • Oh man! Its such a staple around here. They just don’t know what they are missing!

  • Yummy! I love that you used bagels. I hear you on the picky eating…. Annabelle doesn’t even like jelly! She eats lots of peanut butter though.

    • Well at least she is getting some protein. Emily wont eat eggs or meat. I am SO happy she LOVES Jif.

  • I used to eat cream cheese and jelly because I didn’t like peanut butter but I’ve never had all 3 together!

  • Mmmm WHY has it never occurred to me to put cream cheese on a PB&J?! That is brilliant! Olivia’s favorite thing right now are PB&Js, so maybe I need to start making her a PBC&J?! And on a bagel! So yummy!

    • I had the same exact thought. I should have thought of this YEARS ago.

  • Desiree @ Macke Monologues

Yes! PBJ is good on bread, but a toasted bagel? I’ll have three for lunch, please and thank you.

    • Haha! Yes, me too. Its such a fun change.

  • chall1018

Mason is so, so so picky! He won’t even try PB&J. It makes me sad because he is totally missing out. These sound so amazing! I love anything with cream cheese.

    • Oh man! Emily is crazy picky too, but PBJ is one of the few things she eats. Me too!

  • I love PBJ and could eat it every morning.

  • Oh the cream cheese! What a perfect addition! Yum.

Whitney @ Come Home For Comfort

    • I thought it was genius. Why had I waited so long to try it?!

  • I love JIF’s natural PB, I had no clue it came in crunchy! I need this πŸ™‚ Looks delicious.

    • You totally need it. It is by far my favorite peanut butter!

  • Cream Cheese! yes!

  • Yes to Cream cheese on bagels with jelly, so good! And Mini Bagels, I feel like I could eat 3 because they’re so small, hehe.

    • I could totally eat 3 too, HA! I love that they are small enough I can eat a bagel guilt free though. This is such a fun combo and nice change from PBJ.

  • How yummy and easy is this! I don’t think just my kiddos would like it, I would!!

    • Which is clearly the most important of the two. Baha ha ha ha, but really!

  • SarahTucker

    so perfect for tiny hands!

  • Kim Reed

Yes! We would gobble these up – good idea!

  • Leah Caraher

I love JIF PB, especially crunchy!! PB & J is a go to in our home too!

    • Oh me too! Crunchy natural Jif is my absolute favorite!

  • Tamara Goyette

Don’t make fun of me but I had a pb&j sandwhich for the first time in my life this year!

    • That is hilarious and adorable. I promise not to laugh…. too hard ;).

  • I love PB&J! Especially crunchy PB! It’s a fave in our house.

    • Yes, mine too. My youngest won’t try it and I am convinced she is crazy :P.

  • Kendra Darr

Love to eat fun toppings on bagels!

    • Oh me too. Not sure why this combo took me so long to make πŸ˜†.

  • My kids *live* on PB&J! I definitely hear about it if it doesn’t end up in their lunch box at least a few times a week. Love the idea of making it on bagels too πŸ™‚

    • I thought the bagel was a fun change from the normal bread.
