2016 Christmas Ornament Show & Tell Linkup

When you have 6 Christmas trees you have a lot of ornaments.

The ornaments on our bedroom tree are fancy glass balls that break if you drop them (trust me). The girls’ tree are decorated with whatever they like, which is currently lots of pink, blue, and candy ornaments. The schoolroom tree has several ornaments that the girls have made as well as ones that they are given. On the front porch you’ll find plastic balls in red, silver and gold. But my favorite is the living room. Our living room tree is full of ornaments with meaning. First ornaments, childhood ornaments, handmade ornaments, and more. Those are the ornaments that bring the biggest smile to my face. I love decorating the tree every year and looking at it over the Christmas season. I always seem to notice something new.

Today I chose 5 of my favorite ornaments to share a little more about.

Random Beth fact: I used to knit! I wish I had the time to knit now, but home school and blogging seem to take up every bit of free time that I have. Someday I will get back to it. Even though my needles are sadly collecting dust, I still love this ornament that my MIL, who also knits, gave me.

I don’t know how old I was when I picked this ornament out, but I remember doing so at Venture (remember that place). Who would have imagined that many years later I would have a little girl who was obsessed with all things Minnie. Usually I let her keep this ornament hanging in her room… all year-long.

Marissa made this ornament for me one year and I love it. I am pretty sure she just chose a whole bunch of randomness to throw in it, but I think it is perfect!

This big Santa face is by far a favorite of mine and I always put him in the exact same spot. Marissa even knew exactly where to hang him this year. He is jolly, glittery, and that winking eye makes him magical.

In November of 2011 we visited Disney World and I knew I was going to come home with an ornament to remember our trip by. I actually came home with a whole collection, but this year I will just show one. Cinderella’s Castle is always one of our favorites to stare at.

Now that I have shared a few of my favorite ornaments, it’s time for you to share some of yours.

  1. I love that each of your trees has a different feel. That’s awesome!! You have some beautiful ornaments. Love stories behind them. 🙂

  2. I love all yours! The Santa face is a favorite of mine as well. I have one very similar. It was so hard to pick just a few to share! Thanks for hosting with me! Have a great day =)

  3. OMG I remember Venture! My Mom and I were just talking about that store LOL! The black and white stripes is what I remember most, and wanting everything when we went there ha ha. I love all your ornaments, especially the Disney ones!

  4. Oh I love all of the ornaments you shared with us! I have a Disney World ornament I’m sharing tomorrow. 🙂

  5. I love your Disney ornaments, your Santa ones and that you’ve got favorite spots to put them every year. I’m sure you have special favorites on every single tree and I’m not surprised that Minnie stays out all year long 🙂

  6. Your ornaments tell a story! I love that, those are always my favorite!
How awesome that your Minnie is one Emily appreciates so much, too.
No magical Disney trip would be complete without an ornament to commemorate said trip!

  7. I love that you have 6 Christmas trees. I need to step up my Christmas tree game! How did I not know that you used to knit? That’s so awesome. That’s one thing I’ve never learned to do. I think the Minnie ornament is a God thing! He totally knew that you’d have a Minnie Mouse loving sweet girl one day.

    1. I think so too. Probably because I don’t knit much or at all anymore. Between home school and the blog, I just don’t have time for a hobby like knitting.
