So Thankful For… 2016

Happy Day after Thanksgiving, or shall I just say Merry Christmas?!?!

I hope that you had the best day celebrating Thanksgiving with your loved ones yesterday. We spent the day with Russ’ family celebrating the many, many things we have to be thankful for and celebrating Russ’ dads 70th birthday too. I’ hope to do a Thanksgiving recap, but it might take me a week or two. I’ll try to get it done before Christmas ;).

Today I wanted to keep things simple and share our thankful lists. Every year I have the girls write down one thing they are thankful for every day of November through Thanksgiving. We have been doing this since Marissa was 5 and it has become one of the girls’ favorite traditions.

Marissa

Jesus, The Bible, Houses, Water, Cars, Dr’s., School, Trees, Money, Family, Roller City, Emily, church, shoes, bees, gravity, light, air, Legos, beds, books, Jonathan & David, tacos, Mom & Dad

Emily

Food, God, Family, Toys, plants, animals, glasses, eyes, Minnie Mouse, Friends, ears, AWANA, love, joy, peace, IKEA, Christmas, church, creativity, sleep, the manger, Marissa, Pizza, friends

It is always so sweet to have this little glimpse into what they love and appreciate. From the big things to the small things, we have SO much to be thankful for.

What is one thing you are thankful for?

Beth

Awww! I love that you asked what the girls are thankful for. Their lists are great! Kids are so sweet.

    • It is such a fun tradition to have! It gets a little hard towards the end, but they always pull through!

  • This is beautiful!! I’m going to copy it for next year! And I’m soooo thankful for tacos myself!

  • That is so sweet – I love that they each wrote their sister’s name! <3 I am thankful to have connected with you through blogging in the last year, Beth!

    • Aaaahhh I am thankful for that too! I love that they wrote each others names too. I love watching them interact. I always wanted a sister.

  • First, I love that they are both thankful for each other…. and I love that Emily is thankful for IKEA. 🙂

    • Isn’t that so funny! That Emily is hilarious and so stinking smart!

Love this, friend! You are raising those girls so right. They are the sweetest and I adore their lists. I love the manger…I mean, that’s where it all began! SO, so thankful for that.

    • Oh goodness, thank you so much. Sometimes it feels like I am screwing everything up other days I don’t feel like I am. I love making these lists every year.

  • I love reading what little ones are thankful for because their hearts are so pure. It’s truly the simplest of things they love and adore.

    • That and the fact that Emily said IKEA! Oh that girl makes my heart so happy!
