Pumpkin Biscuits & Cinnamon Honey Butter

It’s week three of ‘All Things Pumpkin’ and I am back with another recipe. I told y’all I would probably just share pumpkin recipes for this link-up. Any excuse to bake all of the pumpkin things! Originally I planned to share a pumpkin scone recipe today. Beth fact: I LOVE scones. I even have a whole Pinterest board just for scone recipes. But I decided to stray away from sweet treats and make something a little more versatile.

Pumpkin biscuits with cinnamon honey butter. So good, so simple, so fall

Pumpkin biscuits, also known as little round fluffy pillows of love. I am so happy that I ended up making biscuits instead of scones. Essentially they are the same exact thing only these aren’t covered with icing. These biscuits are perfect for breakfast, an afternoon treat, or pair them with a rich and hearty vegetable soup. It works, I promise.

What I may love even more than the actual biscuits is the honey cinnamon butter I made to go with them. I have always joked with the girls that my real favorite food is butter. This butter brings my love to an entirely whole new level. I mean seriously, where have you been all my life cinnamon honey butter. The biscuits are good, but the butter is even better.

This recipe is a dynamic duo. You could make one without the other, but together they are the perfect team.

Link-up Warning:

Now comes the confusing part. There are actually two link-ups going on in this post. Hello never tried before craziness. I’ve tried to label them and separate them with a photo to keep everything crystal clear. The first is Tuesday Talk, followed by All Things Pumpkin. If you are here for the pumpkin party I’d encourage you to add your post to both. Why not!

Oh my those look amazing!!! Thanks for sharing te recipe. I think I’m going to make them for my inlaws next weekend.

    • Thank you. You are so welcome. They were the perfect fall combo. The dough was a little wetter than I expected or am used to but I just kneaded in a little extra flour and went for it. They ended up being really fluffy. That butter is so good too, it would make cardboard taste good.

  • These look so, so delicious! And that butter!!!

    • They are SO good and that butter is fantastic! I know it’s terrible for you, but you should totally make it :P.

  • Lizzie Simantz

I love me some biscuits and these look absolutley amazing!! And that cinnamon honey butter, come to Mama! Thanks for sharing, I’ll be pinning this for sure!

    • They were so good! The dough was a bit wetter than what I am used to but I just kneaded in a little extra flour and went for it. I am so glad that I did. Thanks for the pin. I always appreciate that.

  • Cat @ MaryMarthaMama.com

Oh my… These look good. I made my boys pumpkin pancakes on Sunday and they have aske for them both yesterday and this morning and I’m pretty sure they would die over these. Thanks for sharing!

    • Those must have been some really good pancakes :). And that butter would be so amazing on pancakes too. Now I think I need to try that.

  • I’m honestly not a big fan of anything pumpkin flavored other than pumpkin roll with lots of cream cheese filling but I would give those a try!

    • I’ll take that as a huge compliment :). I think I’d eat that butter on cardboard :P.

  • Two link-ups! Look at you go lady! I just pinned this awesomeness by the way 🙂

    • It’s a crazy life I live 😛 Thank you so much. You are always so sweet like that.

  • I have always wanted to try making a fancy butter…you may have convinced me with this recipe

    • Deena!!! Do it, do it, do it! I have always wanted to try it too and I am SO glad I did. My hips probably aren’t, but oh well. This is so good and so easy. I whipped it up in the stand mixer in minutes.

Oh how I wish I could! One day friend, one day!

        • I know! If only I had a guest room I’d tell you to road trip one weekend with that brother of yours :P. Is he still coming up this way often?

  • Girl, you are speaking my love language now! Biscuits are one of my favorite foods EVER, and I would have never thought to add pumpkin to them. Holy moly, I need to try these one Saturday morning!

    • Destined to be friends we were. I freaking love them too. The dough was a bit wetter than I am used to working with, probably the pumpkin but I kneaded in a little extra flour and went for it. Be sure to make that butter too. SO freaking good.

  • Desiree @ Macke Monologues

Friend. You had me a honey butter. Just let me do a few laps in a pool of that, please.
And those biscuits sound like they’d go well with almost any soup or chili!!

    • That butter. I will run MILES because of that butter, lol. They totally would. I can’t wait to make them on repeat.

  • You are rocking the pumpkin recipes! YUM!

  • Whitney Jordan

Wowza these look amazing! They look perfect so I figured you were going to say they were store bought! I am so impressed you made such perfect biscuits and now I’ve got to make them. The cinnamon butter sealed the deal. Thanks for sharing this heavenly recipe. I am so glad you opted to make biscuits instead of scones!!

    • That cinnamon butter is AMAZING Whitney. Make it for sure. The biscuit dough was a bit wetter than most that I have made. I was actually a bit annoyed and worried, but I just kneaded in a bit more flour and went for it. So glad I did.

  • Meghan Flinn

No wonder we are friends… Butter might as well be its own food group for me! And you keep sharing recipes, because man are you good at it!

    • Lol, YES! You have to make some of that butter pronto friend. Thank you so much.

  • Little round fluffy pillows of love — my nickname in college 😉

    • OMG! I think I just might have to mark this as inappropriate :P.

  • Oh my, Beth!! Is your middle name Cracker Barrel?? These look amazing! My husband & kids will love these! Definitely pinning for this weekend!

    • No, but I kinda wish it was :P. Thanks for the pin friend. The biscuit dough was a bit wetter than most that I have made. I was actually a bit annoyed and worried, but I just kneaded in a bit more flour and went for it. So glad I did.

  • You had me at cinnamon honey butter. These sound delicious!

    • That butter. I want to rub it on my face :P. So good!

  • I wonder- Brian is a biscuit man but not such a pumpkin fan (sad face) do you think these could convert him?! Lol. But seriously. I need to make this dynamic duo!!

    • They arent overly pumpkiny so he might tolerate them especially if he lovea biscuits. Pretty sure I’d eat that butter on cardboard too 😂.
