We did it! We survived our first week back to school. One week down, only 35 left to go! Too soon for that kind of talk? I kind of thought so, but it was worth a try.
This the first weekend that has felt like a weekend in over 3 months! There is a certain level of excitement buzzing around our house this morning that is making me a bit giddy. Either that or I have clearly drank way too much coffee. Probably both.
Our weekend plans consist of recovering from back to school, a car show and hopefully a trip to the pool. We also need to mark a few more things off our bucket list too!
Let’s take a look at this weeks highlights.
School is in session
Monday kicked off our first day of school.
This week has been hard, fun, busy, an adjustment, full of new adventures and pretty stinking great.
Homeschooling may be our greatest adventure in life.
I am super excited about all that will come with this next year.
Our newest friend
Have you ever kept a secret for so long you think you might explode?
Like when your closest friend tells you she’s pregnant?!
Since Anna is a regular face around here I just had to tell y’all she is expecting in early March!
I even got to help her make this little announcement.
Hers obviously doesn’t have the watermark on it though :P.
Just a few more weeks and we find out babies gender. Since she already has two boys (and you know how I feel about little girls), I bet you’ll never guess what I’m pulling for.
National S’mores Day
This past Wednesday I co-hosted a s’mores recipe hop to honor National S’mores Day and oh my word just look at that photo. These ladies definitely brought their A game to the table and knocked these recipes out of the park. I can’t wait to try each and every one of them.
Did you celebrate on Wednesday?
Many of you know the “excitement” that has revolved around Emily’s eyes that has been ongoing for almost 6 months now.
We went in for a well check-up recently and what seemed to be uneventful was soon something more. Her pediatrician was definitely concerned. The eye turning she noticed with and without glasses did not set well with her and she strongly recommended that we see a specialist. We head up to Kansas City this coming Tuesday to see a children’s ophthalmologist. In a way this is an answer to prayer. We have wanted a second opinion for quite some time but didn’t know how to go about getting one. Prayers on Tuesday would be appreciated.
