Summer Bucketlist 2016!

So I feel like we may be the last ones to jump on board the summer bucket list band wagon, but technically speaking the first day of summer is just about a week away on June 20th! When putting together our summer list this year I decided on the go big or go home approach. This might be a record number of items on a bucket list, but I look it over and feel like it is definitely do-able. I also think I did a pretty good job of mixing big and small things throughout.

We LOVE summer around here and fully intend to make this the best one ever, so here is what we have in mind.

You’re not the last one! Mine will be up next week. 🙂 I love all of the things on your list. Mom-cation?? Where are you going?

    • Wahoo! Courtney said hers goes up next week too. I can’t wait to see what you ladies have planned. Just a quick weekend get away to AR. But, it should be great and just what I need.

  • Love it!! And summer hasn’t even officially started yet so you’re not too late! Mom- cation and root beer floats! Looove. Also, can’t wait for when my kids cook dinner!

    • They are too far behind my girls so it may happen sooner than you think! I will just have to be selective with what is on the menu for that night ;). Thank you!

  • Meghan Flinn

Your girls are going to love making fairy gardens! And I love the idea of a mom-cation… Can’t wait to hear more about that!!!

    • I know right?! I have had pins on Pinterest FOREVER, seriously over 2 years now, but we have never done anything. They will love it. It’s just a quick weekend retreat but it will be a blast!

  • Jessica

Love your list! I want to make ice cream sandwiches. Such a fun idea. Course they’d be eaten before finished at my house. Ha ha. You are going to have one heck of a summer.

    • I think the same story may happen here too :). We are definitely going to try too!

  • Lizzie Simantz

I love your list!! I need to add make a fairy house to mine because we’ve been wanting to do that!

    • I have been thinking about doing it with my girls FOREVER, we are long over due for it. You should definitely add it.

  • What a fun list! We have quite a few of the same activities on our list. I hope you accomplish everything on it! XOXO

    • I totally should have just looked at your list and just copied it ;). I remember it was really good, but I don’t remember what was on it. Summer is going to be so much fun!

  • lol and spit seeds =) Great list! Lots of fun big and small. I’m still working on yours so you aren’t the last!

    • I was thinking a speed spitting contest in true “red neck” form. You don’t do that in Florida?!?! Lol. Can’t wait to see yours.

  • Totally haven’t made our bucket list either… of course around here some people are still in school. Love the list!
    Also… “Whats a Momcation?! I want one!” <>

    • Baha ha! I can’t even imagine still being in school… that sounds TERRIBLE! A friend and I are going on a quick weekend get-a-way it should be relaxing and so much fun. I can’t wait. Can’t wait to see what summer fun you ladies have in store too!

  • Great list- the rootbeer floats is my favourite

    • I am pretty sure the girls have never had one so that was a MUST add! Happy Tuesday!

Love love love your summer list. You all are going to have the best summer and I can’t wait to follow along. Fairy Houses are so neat. I’m trying to think of a creative boy version of something like that.

    • I bet you could totally figure out how to put some kind of boy twist on it! I mean there HAVE to be boy fairies too, right?! Thanks friend.

  • I love your list! I’m excited to read all about it!

  • Oh what a list!! We are working on ours now and as much as I’m dying for Fall, its been fun celebrating Summer. Looks like you girls are going to have a blast!

    • We are going to have a blast and embrace all things summer until it’s actually fall. I am going to work SUPER hard to resist my fall urges the first of September, wish me luck, I’m gonna need it!

  • Great lists and I think built newspaper boats is something outside the box and totally fun! Everything on here is perfect.

    • Thanks friend. I tried to cover all bases and make a really fun, doable list this year.

  • Great list! I may have to amend my list to add a few of these. My four year old would be all about spitting watermelon seeds! Ha!

    • Haha, you totally should! I may tack a few more onto our list too!

  • I think riding bikes to get ice cream is my favorite thing on this list! How wonderful that y’all can do that! We don’t have an ice cream place remotely close to our house, so we wouldn’t ever be able to do that. It makes me think of old-timey days, though. Sometimes I wish I had lived back in the 50’s.

    • I always wish I lived back in the 50’s, ALWAYS. Lol. It is so fun to be able to add things like this to the list now that the girls are older. Older kids do have their perks :)!

  • What s fun list! Im cutting it close with our spring list still hanging in tbe balance, sigh. You win some, you lose some 😉

    • Amen to that! I may very likely loose some with this huge of a list too!

  • Such a fun list! I can’t wait to hear about the ice cream sandwiches you make!

    • I have seen SO many options on Pinterest I have no idea how I will pick one! Thanks!

  • I can’t wait to see you document all this! We love summer.

    • We LOVE summer too! It should be a blast!

  • Oh how fun!!! Your summer bucket list sounds as fun as ever! I may need to steal a few ideas from it to make our summer extra fun too!

    • Steal away friend, steal away. I think this years list turned out pretty great.

  • It has been way to long since I have done flashlight tag! I need to do that this summer.

    • I bet your kiddos would LOVE flashlight tag. You totally need to break that out this summer.

  • Such a fun list! Loving all the fairy gardens I’ve seen lately!

    • I have been pinning them for like two years ever since Marissa became obsessed with TinkerBell, lol. We are LONG over due to make one :). It will be so much fun.

  • Everything sounds like so much fun! I’m most excited about the ice cream sales at the grocery store during June and July…true story. 🙂

Whitney @ Come Home For Comfort

    • Lol! True story indeed. I need to keep my eyes open for some of those myself!

  • Whitney Jordan

Sounds like the making of a pretty wonderful summer! I love your idea of kids cook dinner! How fun. I always enjoy seeing the things you do with your big girls because it gives me things to look forward to doing when my kids are a little older.

    • That’s my hope friend. I feel like my girls are just a few years ahead of 85% of my blogging buddies so I always hope I am doing a good job of showing the fun to come instead of the opposite, lol.
