Nothing beats a long spring weekend with a lot going on, but nothing you have to do.
We had a pretty awesome weekend friends. I wish we could always live in this “almost summer” mode. Outside, outside, outside, we got plenty of fresh air this weekend. Today I want to do a weekend recap to share all of the highlights that made this weekend one to remember.
Friday was our annual co-op project fair. The girls worked so hard to get their projects done in time. Confession, I may or may not have dropped the ball with all we’ve had going on lately. And I may or may not have tried to bribe them into just not doing the fair this year. When they didn’t take the bait we got to work with only a week to go. I think they did a pretty amazing job and couldn’t possibly have been more proud of them. Emily also got up on stage to sing for the first time ever too. I have a feeling she’ll be doing more of that in the future.
Saturday was a 7 mile run with Anna then a much needed shower. For breakfast the girls couldn’t decide between scones or muffins, so I humored them by making both. We spent the rest of the morning cleaning and CLEANING. After a quick lunch we hopped in the 37 and drove to Rainbow Bridge (I’ll share more on that later this week). We also hit up a car show cruise night and went to a bonfire with friends.
Sunday was church and then home where I sat down and began writing this post. I ate lunch and went on a Sunday drive in the 37 with my Sarah. Next up was
watching napping during the race, grabbing “a couple” of groceries, a walk, and plenty of time spent playing outside.
Definitely another great weekend.
Just what we needed to unwind a bit before our LAST week of school!
What was the best part of your weekend?
