It’s the middle of March which also means college basketball is about to get crazy!

That leaves me with two questions for you.
#1 Have you made your bracket yet?
#2 Are you stocked up on game time snacks.

The good news is you still have time to fix both of those and today I am going to share the perfect game time combo with you.

This dip is super easy and quick to make, tastes great and is the perfect pairing with Cheez-It Grooves. #HoopsWithCrunch #ad
Looks pretty fantastic, right?

The Best Loaded Baked Potato Dip and Cheez-It Hot & Spicy Grooves.
One of my newest favorite snacking finds

Cheez_it_TargetOn one of my recent, glorious trips to Target I spied a sign in the cracker aisle. Large boxes of Cheez-It products are 3 for $8 the 3rd week of February – the 1st week of April. It would have been crazy of me to not buy the three boxes, right?! So I picked out a few flavors I knew the husband would love and headed home.

Cheez_it_ProductsCheez-It Grooves may have just replaced chips in the Newman house. They are amazing. The real cheese makes all the difference and you can really taste that flavor in this product. They are thin, crispy and perfection. The perfect snack to stand alone or a great addition to dips as well.

How about a mom-fession: I was secretly hoping the girls wouldn’t like them (terrible I know).
I thought I would say they were spicy and they would snub their noses…. no luck. These crackers have just the slightest bit of kick to them and the girls LOVE it!

Cheez_it_sriracha_mixThe Sriracha snack mix was an instant hit with Russ too. The girls have yet to be brave enough to give it a try though.
He isn’t complaining.

Now let’s get back to game time talk and that UH-mazing dip.

Hosting a game time party can be so much fun and so much work. Here are a few tips to put on a great party but not overwhelm yourself. After all they may come to watch the college basketball and pray their bracket doesn’t bust, but we all know how important the snacks are too.

Game time snack tips

Less but more
Instead of focussing on having LOTS of variety pick a few favorites that everyone loves and make larger amounts of those. You will save both time and money by keeping things focused and simple.

Make ahead
Choose things that can be prepared ahead of time so you don’t miss all of the fun while being stuck in the kitchen.
*Hint* This dip is the perfect thing to make ahead.

Think Ahead
Plan to use plastic cups and paper plates to keep clean-up a cinch.

Ask For Help
Usually when people plan to go to a party they expect to bring something. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.

Stock up on plenty of Cheez-It snacks!
Seriously 3 for $8 and you get to go to Target! What are you waiting for?!

  1. That dip looks amazing! I love cheez-it grooves too. They are so good. Why do kids always like what we do? Ha ha

  2. This is the one time of the year we actually watch basketball (we’re a football family). My brackets are almost done… State all the way baby!!!
The dip looks so yummy!! Funny story about spicy chips. Matt has me buy these jalapeño chips. One day he left them out. I was feeding Autumn in one room, and Annabelle was walking around. She comes to talk to me, and her breath smelled of jalapeño chips! I guess they weren’t too spicy for her.

    1. Haha! The ONE year I really made a bracket and competed I cleaned house. I had absolutely NO idea what I was doing and it was awesome.

Haha! See, even our spicy snacks aren’t safe!

  3. I am going to add this to my list to make for Bunco night in April. It looks delicious and I think most dips are a huge hit at parties and gatherings.

And full disclosure: I couldn’t care less about March Madness. I’m a pigskin kind of gal.

    1. Dips are definitely the way to go I may or may not have at this for lunch today too ;).

I’m more of a NASCAR, baseball gal myself. But I do love to beat the boys in the bracket making. Who needs stats lol!

    1. Thank you so much for the pin, I love seeing my stuff pinned :). I dream of one day seeing some random person I follow repin one of my posts. Silly right?!

  4. Although we do not watch a lot of basketball, Nathan and I are both big dippers! We are going to have to make this asap!!

  5. loaded baked potato dip– one of my very favourite things!!! Great recipe! Love that you used greek yogurt. to me it tastes so similar to sour cream!!!

    1. Yes! I kind of wish I had tried it with only greek yogurt and no sour cream…. maybe next time I will. It’s a great way to add some protein and make it a bit healthier.

    1. You could also use potato chips or crackers with the dip if your not a fan of spice! I was surprised by how mild the spice on those were though.

  6. Woah. I’m a lover of all things potato and had no idea this was even a possibility! YUM!

  7. Okay, this dip looks delicious! And the crackers? The perfect combination. Thanks for sharing! #client

  8. Yes, I filled out a few brackets and they are basically worthless now 🙂 This won’t stop me from watching basketball and eating some yummy treats though. I love those ridged crackers so I’m keeping my eyes peeled for them. Who doesn’t love a great appetizer dip?!?!

    1. Oh how quickly they fall to pieces.

This dip was So good we ate it with lunch pretty much every day last week. Almost like a cheese ball but more convenient and faster to make.
